How we protect your data
Your CV is the most personal document you will ever send out. Every job, every gap, your address, often your date of birth. Here is what happens to it, in plain language.
Only AI in Switzerland and the EU reads your CV
The artificial intelligence that looks at your CV sits in Geneva and in Zurich; cover letters and tailoring are written by Claude via InnoGPT on EU servers. Only your application photo goes to Replicate in the USA for retouching, without your name. Your CV text never reaches OpenAI or Google. We keep a fixed list of who is allowed to see your documents: if someone isn't on it, the request never goes out in the first place.
And your documents are never used to train any AI. Your CV does not resurface anywhere else.
Nobody can read along on the way to us
Everything you upload is scrambled on your own device before it is sent. It only becomes readable again once it reaches us. Anyone tapping the line in between, on café WLAN, at your internet provider, anywhere along the way, sees nothing but gibberish.
This covers the whole journey: from your browser to us, and from us on to the Swiss AI. We use the newest method available for this today. You don't have to switch anything on, it is always running.
Where we have to be honest
On the way, your data is unreadable. Once it has arrived and is sitting with us, it is not. Others like to write "everything encrypted" at this point and mean only the journey. We would rather say it straight.
Two things are encrypted here: the nightly database backups and the file you download with Self-Restore. Both are worthless without the matching key, and the keys are kept separately from the data.
So what protects your documents day to day is something else: the secure journey, very tight access to the database, and above all the fact that we delete early instead of hoarding. What has been deleted can no longer be stolen. If we ever change this, it will say so here.
We delete things as soon as we no longer need them
- The CV you uploaded: deleted as soon as the analysis is finished.
- The text of your CV: deleted as soon as your profile has been built from it.
- An analysis without an account: deleted automatically after seven days.
- Your email address, if you asked us to send you the result: deleted the moment the message goes out.
What stays is your result, the score and the suggestions. That is what you came for.
You can take your data with you at any time
Your account has an "Export my data" button. One click and you download everything we hold about you: your details, your jobs, your education, languages and skills. As a file you keep.
You can do this as often as you like, and nothing else happens: your account stays, your data stays, you stay logged in. Treat it as your own backup copy. It means you do not depend on us, not even on us still being here in five years.
Leaving is a separate thing: if you want out, you can download your data as well, and we delete everything on our side in the same step. Both are described on the Data lifecycle page.
Where our servers are
Website, database and backups run with Infomaniak in Switzerland under the Swiss Data Protection Act (revFADP). Everyone involved on our side is listed in full on the subprocessors page, including payment processing and email delivery.
There is no corporation behind us
jobsuchi is run by the person who built it: me. No investors, no venture capital, no parent company that will eventually want a return.
That matters for your data too. Anyone who has investors to satisfy comes under pressure sooner or later to squeeze more out of user data: advertising, resale, training AI models. We make our money because you pay for a tool. Your documents are not raw material to us, they are an obligation.
And if you have a question about privacy, the person who wrote the code answers it, not a contact form.
There is no password here
You enter your email address and we send you a link. It works once and expires after 30 minutes. No password to invent, none to forget. And a password we never stored is one nobody can steal from us.
If you want the technical detail, the whole process is described under How it works.
